From the moment the numbers from the box office started rolling in, there have been whispers of a sequel. Not only is it now official, we’ve also been graced with a release date.
That’s right, dinosaur (and Chris Pratt) enthusiasts, the sequel to Jurassic World will roar in to theaters June 22nd of 2018!
In addition to this splendid news, EW also reports that both Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will be reprising their roles. This is a nice move from the previous trilogy, where each movie moved back and forth from different groups of the original characters of Jurassic Park.
Jurassic World toppled The Avengers this week, taking over the title of third highest grossing film in history. While it is unlikely to move past Titanic and Avatar when it opens in Japan in the coming days, third in history isn’t anything to shake a stick at!
What do you hope to see from the sequel? What characters would you like to see return? What in the world will InGen ruin this time?
We look forward to finding out together!
