Game of Thrones 6.10 “The Winds of Winter” Top 5

“The Winds of Winter” was not only one of Game of Thrones’ best season finales but possibly one of the best season finales of any show I’ve watched. 6 years many of us have sat in front of the TV waiting for the events of Game of Thrones to unravel. We dealt with heartbreak, sadness, anger, disbelief and many more emotions. I’ve said I love this show and I’ve said I hate this show. In all reality it is easily one of the best shows I’ve ever watched. It’s my…

Game of Thrones 6.09 “Battle of the Bastards” Top 5

Episode 9 has historically been one of the best and most shocking episodes of each season. We’ve fallen into the pattern of epic battles and amazing deaths and this season did not fail. There is always a moment during the season where your feelings can be down about the show and then all of the sudden episode 9 comes in and makes you remember why you love it so much. Battle of the Bastards was no exception. While somewhat predictable in certain avenues the episode had hearts beats racing around…

E3 Recap – Everything You Want In One Place

E3 or the Electronics Entertainment Expo is easily one of my favorite times of the year. I’ve dreamed of going for as long as I can remember. It lives in the same area of my heart as San Diego Comic Con and the Consumer Electronics Show.  I’ve never been, but I’m pretty sure everything I do or have done is preparing me for the moment I can make these three conferences. Anyhow, below are some links for you to catch up on everything you missed. The conference is winding down…

Game of Thrones 6.08 “No One” Top 5

Season 5, Episode 8: Hardhome. Season 4, Episode 8: The Mountain & The Viper. These are the quality episodes we’ve come to expect this late in the season. “No One” was set up for a spectacular show down and convergence of great story lines, but we were left with a piecemeal episode of off-screen deaths and unsatisfying realizations. The season continued to push characters in certain directions but the week’s worth of anticipation was unfulfilled by the longest Game of Thrones episode to date. Jump below and we’ll quickly cover…

Game of Thrones 6.07 “The Broken Man” Top 5

Last week’s Game of Thrones left something to be desired, but “The Broken Man” seemed to deliver on all fronts. Ultimately, the episode was not too different from the last in terms of offering the story lines a push in the right direction. We know where most arcs are heading and we have some exciting things to look forward to. Picture this week? None other than the badass Lady Mormont. This time I’ve included a video as well. GRAVEDIGGER! 5. A Rose by Any Other Name Would Smell as Sweet Natalie…

Game of Thrones 6.06 “Blood of My Blood” Top 5

I’m a day late on my Top 5 over here due to the holiday but I hope everyone had a great weekend while spending time with friends, family and remembering those who gave their lives serving. A long weekend never lasts long enough and we’re right back in the thick of things. Season 6 has been the strongest season, in my opinion, but episode 6 left something to be desired. We were offered a few surprises this week that are sure to make fans happy and a couple that will…

Game of Thrones 6.05 “The Door” Top 5

We’ve made it halfway through 6th season. “The Door” makes 5 episodes down and their stories are falling in place and making progression. Throughout this series, we’ve been introduced to pain, sorrow, hate, revenge, disbelief and sadness. You’re left with one, possibly more, of those feelings when the credits role. “The Door” fired on all cylinders this week as Season 6 started to make moves and we start to see our heroes move their pieces in The Game of Thrones .  As they’ve always said, when you play The Game…

Game of Thrones 6.04 “Book of the Stranger” Top 5

This weeks episode hit the ground running early. We had a lot of information to cover and a lot of reunions to swim through. The women of Game of Thrones took center stage this week while the episode did a great job progressing some stories, ending others, and starting new arcs. Personally, “Book of the Stranger” hit all the right cords while meeting and exceeding expectations during a few long awaited scenes. Siblings touched based again, and the sisters came out firing. If we had enough Dragons, I would have all…

Game of Thrones 6.03 “Oathbreaker” Top 5

Episode 2 was such a good showing it’s hard to imagine episode 3 being able to outdo its predecessor. The shock value of “Oathbreaker” was low but it had a lot of fallout to deal with from the previous episode while still pushing the story forward. The end of the series looms with only a handful of seasons left, and as I mentioned last week, Game of Thrones is moving pieces of the chess board quickly and efficiently. Episode 3 still delivered some exciting moments and easily executed some of the best…

Game of Thrones 6.02 “Home” Top 5

After a lackluster premiere last week, Game of Thrones is ready to start moving pieces along the board swiftly and episode 2 was great in every right. We visited a creepy tree with an old dude inside, a wall with a fallen loved one, a colder than ever Winterfell, a soon to be bloody Red Keep, a dragon holding dungeon, and a rickety bridge castle.  Episode 2 leaves us wanting more than ever before. There is a lot to cover so lets jump into the top 5 moments from “Home” below.  …

Game of Thrones 6.01 “The Red Woman” Top 5

Season 6  of Game of Thrones is finally upon us and this episode was busy tying up plot lines from last season finale. While not a groundbreaking episode, it served its main purpose pushing characters forward and setting the stage for what is sure to be an epic season. Here are my Top 5 moments from the first episode in season 6 of Game of Thrones “The Red Woman” 5. The Coup of Dorne Unexpectedly, we have already reached our first surprising death down in the southern area of Dorne.…

Arrow 4.03 “Restoration” Review

Let’s start with the villains who appeared this week during “Restoration.” Double Down (J.R. Bourne) made an appearance as a merc for hire, who had the metahuman ability to pull tattoo cards off his body and throw them fast enough to do some real damage. The fight scenes involving Diggle, Green Arrow, and Double Down were the best of the season so far, and seeing Green Arrow deflecting cards as he finds a way to get close left us with a memorable episode in terms of action. While the…

There’s No Place Like “Hardhome” – Recap

Season 5 has been a little soft when compared to other seasons. Interesting plots have gone different directions and we’ve crept along in stories we care about most. However, show writers pulled up episode 8 and made us feel like we were watching the ever famous episode 9 of seasons past, and it was amazing. “Hardhome” was the name of both the episode and the Wildlings’ home. Jon Snow made his way up north in order to convince the Free Folk that they needed to be south of the wall…
