The Flash 3.08 “Invasion!” Top 5

Arrow 5.08 'Invasion' Top 5

It’s here: one of the biggest television crossovers of all time – the 4-episode “Heroes vs. Aliens” crossover among Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow, and Legends of Tomorrow. Since we have capable writers that cover all of those shows separately, I’m going to just concentrate, as usual, on The Flash. This episode begins the real arc of the crossover, when an alien species called the Dominators launches an invasion force against Earth. #5: Supergirl vs. All the Others It’s actually pretty ridiculous to call this a 4-episode crossover event. It is,…

Arrow 4.14 “Code of Silence” Top 5

Code of Silence rocked the stunts and brought the romance, but not just for Felicity and Oliver!  While there were multiple romance aspects tonight, it wasn’t a focus, and it didn’t take away from the action at all.  Here are my top 5 moments, tell us yours in the comments or on social media! 5.) Oliver’s banter with Mrs. Darhk was prime Green Arrow sass and I need more of it always.  Felicity’s little nicknames were fun, but it was Oliver that really brought the A game tonight.  The look…

The Flash 2.08 “Legends of Today” Review

Welcome back, Flash fans! Did everyone get plenty of turkey and stuffing eaten during our Thanksgiving hiatus? Glad to hear it! This episode is the first of a two-part crossover with Arrow, and most of the action actually takes place in Oliver Queen’s stomping grounds of Star City. How do we end up there? I’m glad you asked! When a boat captain brings ashore a stowaway, the mysterious stranger quickly kills him, a cop, and three longshoremen with magic, faster-than-human reflexes, and a flint knife. Soon, the mystery man (Casper…

Arrow 4.04 “Beyond Redemption” Review

This week on Arrow, Oliver’s run for mayor takes center stage after being completely glossed over last week. Not only is Oliver scouting out campaign headquarters, but he’s also built a brand new Arrow Cave underneath the office building, complete with all of the bells and whistles you would want in a secret lair for vigilante justice. Felicity seems to have had a big hand in all of the set up, making sure all of the tech is state of the art- even if the entire system is a bit…

Arrow 4.03 “Restoration” Review

Let’s start with the villains who appeared this week during “Restoration.” Double Down (J.R. Bourne) made an appearance as a merc for hire, who had the metahuman ability to pull tattoo cards off his body and throw them fast enough to do some real damage. The fight scenes involving Diggle, Green Arrow, and Double Down were the best of the season so far, and seeing Green Arrow deflecting cards as he finds a way to get close left us with a memorable episode in terms of action. While the…

Arrow 4.02 “The Candidate” Review

It’s time to see how Team Arrow will learn how to function as just that, a team. In the first few seconds of the episode, we see them acting as a well-oiled machine, despite personal disputes and just a little bit of in fighting. That Black Canary/Green Arrow move was particularly awesome! We hop quickly into the real world in this episode. Felicity’s got a company to run and Oliver and Thea have an old family friend to meet. But not before Oliver gives Felicity her lunch and her first…

Arrow 4.01 ‘Green Arrow’ Review

Goodbye Batman, hello Green Arrow! After three seasons of seeing Oliver Queen play the caped crusader (sans cape, and plus hood, and a few shades of green), I can’t express how exciting it was to see the Green Arrow finally born. This episode exploded us back into the world of Star City.   Oliver and Felicity’s domestic bliss only lasted about 15 minutes, thank god. I thought the writers made an important move with it being Felicity who was so ready to get back into the superhero lifestyle, which we later…
