Agents of SHIELD 4.07 “Deals With Our Devils” Top 5

another dimension

We’re finally back! And we pick up right where we left off in the last episode. The Fitz/Coulson/Robbie disappearance mystery is solved. We find out what has happened to Simmons (kind of). Eli shows SHIELD just how powerful he is. Darkhold continues to show us its powers, both good and evil. It was a beautifully shot episode full of action and emotions. I loved it. Here are my top 5 moments from “Deals With Our Devils.” 5. Eli’s Powers At the end of last episode, Eli comes out of the…

Agents of SHIELD 4.05 “Lockup” Top 5

This was quite the action-packed episode! Not big epic action like we sometimes see but a lot happened. We get to see Daisy working with the team again. We see Coulson leading missions as an agent. May is back in action and it’s awesome. Lucy Bower makes progress on her mission. Robbie agrees to work with SHIELD on this mission. Here are my top 5 moments from “Lockup.” 5th Street Locos In going through the prison to get his uncle Eli, Robbie found a prisoner that belonged to the Los…

Agents of SHIELD 4.04 “Let Me Stand Next to Your Fire” Top 5

What an episode! “Let Me Stand Next to Your Fire” was an incredible episode all the way through. Daisy and Jemma teaming up was so much fun. Watching Fitz squirm about Aida being tested was delightful. Watchdogs getting taken down is always satisfying. Coulson and Mack teaming up with Ghost Rider was superb. Watching two hot heads battle it out by a store full of fireworks was also a good time. Here are my top 5 moments from “Let Me Stand Next to Your Fire.” 5. FitzSimmons This certainly wasn’t…

Agents of SHIELD 4.03 “Uprising” Top 5

While Daisy has been M.I.A. from SHIELD, she has been searching for and battling against the Watchdogs. No one else seemed to have thought of them as much of a threat, until this week. “Uprising” addresses the Watchdog threat, May’s worsening condition, and SHIELD coming back to the public light. As a bonus, we get to see Fitz save the day with some rudimentary science, which is always a delight. Here are my top 5 moments from “Uprising.” 5. Stone Monster The final moments of this episode give us a…

Agents of SHIELD 4.01 “The Ghost” Top 5

Well, Agents of SHIELD came out swinging in their season 4 premiere, “The Ghost.” We immediately got a little taste of Ghost Rider, his ’69 Dodge Charger,  and what Robbie might be capable of this season. With the new season picking up after the 6-month flash forward that season 3’s finale ended with, we see rogue Daisy in action. We see Coulson as an agent instead of the Director of SHIELD. We see the beginning of all sorts of story lines to unfold. Here’s a look at my top 5…

Season Four of Agents of SHIELD is coming!

In only two more days, Agents of SHIELD will be premiering season four. The show is playing at a new time this season; Tuesdays at 10/9 Central. ** In case this isn’t obvious, the rest of this post will contain some spoilers from season three of Agents of SHIELD, particularly the finale.   Here are the things I’m looking forward to seeing in the quickly approaching season four of Agents of SHIELD. From the season: Life after Lincoln. I think it will be interesting to see just how Lincoln’s death has affected each…

Agents of SHIELD 3.20 “Emancipation” Top 5

“Emancipation” does a brilliant job of marrying the Agents of SHIELD storyline to the effects of Captain America: Civil War. SHIELD is still fighting against Hive for the fate of the Inhumans. And to make things just a bit more complicated, Talbot (on behalf of the government) shows up to take an inventory of the Inhumans, as required by the Sokovia Accords (the central conflict of Civil War). Here are my top 5 moments from “Emancipation.” 5. Yoyo and Mack There’s something about Elena and Mack that just makes me…

Agents of SHIELD 3.19 “Failed Experiments” Top 5

“Failed Experiments” brought us a little bit of a history lesson of the Kree Reapers, Hive, and the Inhumans. It brought SHIELD against Hive and his henchmen. We got to see some….visitors. There’s now only 2 episodes left in the season; one that will probably tie in with Captain America: Civil War, and then a 2-hour finale. “Failed Experiments” certainly set up the pieces for quite an epic ending to a season and left us desperate for answers to all the questions with which it left us. Will Hive’s Kree experiment…

Agents of SHIELD 3.18 “The Singularity” Top 5

The stakes continue to be raised on Agents of SHIELD as we are getting closer to the finale. “The Singularity” gives us a glimpse at Hive and his Inhuman collection. It shows us Coulson’s biases on the team. It gives us some heartbreak as Hive uses memories of Will to get to Simmons, and also warms our hearts as FitzSimmons continues being adorable. It gives us some laughs as Fitz and Mack banter back and forth, and some gasps as Daisy and Hive bust in on the SHIELD agents mission.…

Agents of SHIELD 3×15 “Spacetime” Top 6

Agents of SHIELD continues to make it really difficult for me to choose only 5 moments from the episode to write about. Typically when I watch this show, I’m always aware that I’m watching a superhero/comic book show. I can sense the layer of surrealism that that style of TV brings.  However, when I was watching “Spacetime,” that layer was stripped away. It felt real and intense. The emotions of this episode ran very high, which even overshadowed the big action scenes. It was an amazing episode full of amazing…

Agents of SHIELD 3×14 “Watchdogs” Top 5

I found this to be quite a difficult episode to choose a top 5. There was a lot going on with all of pur Agents of SHIELD. All of the moments seemed pretty important and great. How do you choose just 5 of them? Seeing an episode centered around Mack was great and long overdue. It was even better coming off of him losing Agents Bobbi and Hunter. Even with him as the center of this episode, it seems like all of our characters had their moments this episode. Here…

Agents of SHIELD 3×12 “The Inside Man” Top 5

What an episode! This has been one of my favorite episodes of Agents of SHIELD this season. The whole episode was filled with amazing dynamics in relationships, new information, a few old characters brought back, and so many great story lines leading into the rest of the season. I loved this episode a lot. From Coulson and Talbot’s time together, Bobbi being a bad ass as usual, May stepping up as always, a possible vaccine for terragenesis, and so much more! It was full of action and crosses and double…

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. 3.07 “Chaos Theory” Review

Tis the season for aptly titled episodes on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. – “Chaos Theory” was exactly that. After a balanced and snappy offering with “Among Us Hide…” last week, which ended with a helluva reveal, the staff of Marvel’s prime time superpower opted to throw a little bit of everything against the wall to see what would stick, and with mixed results. Overall, the episode was a success. The best bits came about when Coulson and his team were all on screen together, best illustrated by the taut conversation surrounding…
