The Flash 3.11 “Dead or Alive” Top 5

Jessica Camacho as Gypsy and Tom Cavanagh as H.R. Wells - The CW

It seems H.R. Wells has gotten himself into a bit of a pickle, and the only one who can save him is… Cisco (Carlos Valdes)? Yes, that’s right, our valiant Vibe tests his powers against Gypsy, another dimension-warper, in this week’s episode, “Dead or Alive”. Here’s my Top 5: #5: Iris West, Investigative Reporter While all in all, Iris (Candice Patton) is taking the news of her impending murder in stride, it seems she’s bothered by something besides just dying. She wants to leave a lasting mark on journalism. Not…

Legends of Tomorrow 2.08 “The Chicago Way” Top 5

Nick Zano as Nate Heywood and Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer - The CW

Welcome, loyal readers, to your weekly Top 5 run-down for Legends of Tomorrow. I’m pinch-hitting for Brianna this week, but she’ll be back after the winter hiatus. Fresh off of saving the world from aliens last week, the Legends return to chasing Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough) and Eobard Thawne (Matt Letscher) through time this week, heading to prohibition-era Chicago and tangling with Al Capone. Let’s get right into it, shall we? #5: The Legion of Doom Smart recruiting on Thawne and Darhk’s part, getting Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman) to join…

Legends of Tomorrow 2.07 “Invasion!” Top 5

What an incredible and fun episode! The exciting conclusion of the epic CW DC TV crossover blew away my expectations. We of course had aliens (good and bad!), emotional and moral issues, IT people team-ups, metahumans, government double cross, and time travel! With so many amazing people on this show, I think this episode was so much fun. All of our heroes both save and destroy the Dominators (Is that even possible?). It was well written. The characters interacted well. I loved it. How do I pick just 5 moments?!…

The Flash 3.08 “Invasion!” Top 5

Arrow 5.08 'Invasion' Top 5

It’s here: one of the biggest television crossovers of all time – the 4-episode “Heroes vs. Aliens” crossover among Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow, and Legends of Tomorrow. Since we have capable writers that cover all of those shows separately, I’m going to just concentrate, as usual, on The Flash. This episode begins the real arc of the crossover, when an alien species called the Dominators launches an invasion force against Earth. #5: Supergirl vs. All the Others It’s actually pretty ridiculous to call this a 4-episode crossover event. It is,…

Supergirl 2.08 “Medusa” Top 5

It’s here, it’s here! Crossover week is here! Leave it to our favorite Girl of Steel, Supergirl, to kick things off with a stunning episode. “Medusa” throws us into the story, doing its best to intertwine Kara’s struggles with what’s about to go down in the rest of the Arrowverse with their biggest crossover yet. Things kick off with Mon El vs. Cyborg Superman, and a murderspree inside the alien bar. Mixed with Alex trying to come out to her mother during the holiday and there are some side struggles…

Legends of Tomorrow 2.05 “Compromised” Top 5

Legends at the White House

An episode in 1987….the year I was born! The Legends make their way to the 80s to check out a time aberration that was detected by Nate’s nifty new Time Seismograph. Damien Darhk and Eobard are brought back into the mix this week. We get to see some Russian KGB. The team goes to the White House and has a great time…sort of. It was another fun episode of Legends tonight in “Compromised.” Here are my top 5 moments. 5. Sara grows into her role Prior to being made the…

Legends of Tomorrow 2.04 “Abominations” Top 5

Jax, Nate, and Martin before they saw the abominations

“Abominations” was an absolutely incredible episode of Legends. It contained very heavy subject matter and it was done in a beautiful and brilliant way. The first season was a bit hit or miss, it didn’t have its footing quite yet. I think this episode proves that Legends has found its stride in its second season. With the topic of this episode being zombie civil war soldiers, I expected this to be lighter and a bit goofy, but I could not have been more wrong. It was difficult to choose my top…

Legends of Tomorrow 2.03 “Shogun” Top 5

Sara and Amaya team up against the Shogun's men

This episode was beautiful and brilliant and I am totally in love with it! Can the Legends just hang out in Japan in the 1600s for a while longer? I want more of it. While not a whole lot happened for any big story arc this episode, we got action, emotion, adventure, and even Nate trying his hand at an awkward romance situation. I was hoping to see some more of the Justice Society this week, and we got a little of that with Amaya (aka Vixen). I feel that…

Legends of Tomorrow 2.02 “The Justice Society of America” Top 5

The Justice Society of America and the Legends working together! This episode was so much fun. It was filled with action and some really great personal moments for most of these characters. A very well done episode of which I really want more! Here are my top 5 moments from “The Justice Society of America.” 5. Ray Palmer – Hero I found Ray’s journey in this episode to be a both heartbreaking and heartwarming…if that makes any sense. When confronted with the precision and tactical style of the Justice Society,…

Legends of Tomorrow 2.01 “Out of Time” Top 5

Atomic bombs, time scattering, Oliver Queen, old foes, all sorts of new people, and kidnapping Albert Einstein. What a way to start the second season of Legends of Tomorrow. While this show continues to use the annoying “drop in a plot point a little too conveniently,” I really enjoyed this episode and it achieved the task of making me extremely excited for the rest of the season. Here are my top 5 moments from last night’s episode, “Out of Time.”   5. Justice Society of America It was only a…

Legends of Tomorrow 1.16 “Legendary” Top 5

“Legends of Tomorrow” certainly provided us with an entertaining season finale. “Legendary” was a fun culmination to the story arc for the season. While I enjoyed the season finale and thought it was quite entertaining, it seemed a bit all over the place and had a few too many convenient “time rules” that made the storyline work. I’m definitely sad to see the end of the season and I already cannot wait for season 2. Bring it on! For now, here are my top 5 moments from “Legendary.” 5. Leonard and…

Legends of Tomorrow 1.15 “Destiny” Top 5

What a rollercoaster of an episode! So many ups and downs, with a couple of twists in there to shake things up. This was the second to last episode of the season and it was a great set up to the finale episode. I think “Destiny” serves to sufficiently motivate the team into action, to finally take down Savage and save Kendra and Carter from his clutches. With all the things that happened this episode, here are my top 5 moments from “Destiny.” 5. Savage on the loose Last week we learned…

Legends of Tomorrow 1.14 “River of Time” Top 5

This week’s episode was filled with big moments and a lot of Vandal Savage (finally). With both Savage and a brainwashed Carter on board the Waverider, that seems to spell nothing but trouble for our Legends. This episode provides us with many answers but also leaves us with even more questions. With only 2 episodes left in the season, the Legends don’t have a whole lot of time left (pun intended) to find their way out of the major mess that they’ve gotten themselves into this time. Here are my top…
