Agents of SHIELD 4.06 “The Good Samaritan” Top 5

There’s so much to talk about from this episode, I don’t even know where to start. We finally get to learn about the origins of Robbie Reyes becoming the Ghost Rider. Darkhold changes hands. The Director confronts Coulson and the rest of the team about Robbie and Daisy working with them….and not telling him about it. There’s even a reference to the wonderful Peggy Carter. And it’s all capped off with a twist. Here are my top 5 moments from “The Good Samaritan.” 5. The Director vs. Daisy and Robbie At…

Agents of SHIELD 4.05 “Lockup” Top 5

This was quite the action-packed episode! Not big epic action like we sometimes see but a lot happened. We get to see Daisy working with the team again. We see Coulson leading missions as an agent. May is back in action and it’s awesome. Lucy Bower makes progress on her mission. Robbie agrees to work with SHIELD on this mission. Here are my top 5 moments from “Lockup.” 5th Street Locos In going through the prison to get his uncle Eli, Robbie found a prisoner that belonged to the Los…

Agents of SHIELD 4.02 “Meet the New Boss” Top 5

The wait is over (for us and Coulson and May). As the episode title suggests, we finally get to meet the new Director of SHIELD. He seems like a typical corporate boss (with a few added surprises). Daisy isn’t going to give up on Robbie and his involvement with things yet, and we get a whole lot more ghost scenes than I ever thought we would. Here are my top 5 moments from “Meet the New Boss.”   5. Daisy and Robbie Throughout the episode, we get a lot of scenes…

Agents of SHIELD 4.01 “The Ghost” Top 5

Well, Agents of SHIELD came out swinging in their season 4 premiere, “The Ghost.” We immediately got a little taste of Ghost Rider, his ’69 Dodge Charger,  and what Robbie might be capable of this season. With the new season picking up after the 6-month flash forward that season 3’s finale ended with, we see rogue Daisy in action. We see Coulson as an agent instead of the Director of SHIELD. We see the beginning of all sorts of story lines to unfold. Here’s a look at my top 5…

Long Beach Comic Con 2016

This has been the third year I’ve covered Long Beach Comic Con, and it just keeps getting better each time. Much like it’s sister convention, the Long Beach Comic Expo, this event celebrates the comic book artists and writers and shows a lot of love for the cosplayers. A Comic Book Convention of Yesteryear, LBCC sticks to the comic con roots and shows it through the panels and it’s show floor. I have to give a brief disclaimer before I continue. I was only able to attend 75% of the…

Season Four of Agents of SHIELD is coming!

In only two more days, Agents of SHIELD will be premiering season four. The show is playing at a new time this season; Tuesdays at 10/9 Central. ** In case this isn’t obvious, the rest of this post will contain some spoilers from season three of Agents of SHIELD, particularly the finale.   Here are the things I’m looking forward to seeing in the quickly approaching season four of Agents of SHIELD. From the season: Life after Lincoln. I think it will be interesting to see just how Lincoln’s death has affected each…

San Diego Comic Con 2016

Through a series of fortunate events, I found myself at the San Diego Comic Con, and I learned very quickly, that the hype was real. Considered to be one of the largest, if not THE largest convention in the world, SDCC 2016, despite not having any huge reveals, was still the largest, most exciting convention I have ever been to. And, there is no doubt in my mind, that if you have the opportunity to go, I would tell you to GO, with the fury of a hundred suns, GO!…

Denver Comic Con – Day 2 Roundup

Anyone who’s attended a comic con before can attest that there’s no scale to explain the kind of tired that is con tired.  Your senses are constantly bombarded all day long as you try to take in all of the amazing geekery that you’ve been waiting all year to be a part of again.  It’s that deeply satisfying kind of tired.  The type that comes with a sleepy smile and the satisfaction that you spent a day (or several) inundated with all of your pop culture favorites.   Denver Comic Con…

When Fandom Attacks: Hydra Cap

Earlier this week, Captain America #1 was released, and the internet subsequently exploded in a rage.  I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t one of the people who was furious.  When it comes to Marvel, Captain America is easily in my top 3 heroes.  I love what he stands for, both in the comics and the MCU.  How dare they make him utter those words!? I don’t even like it when people I know say it jokingly!  WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE!?

Agents of SHIELD Finale 3.21 and 3.22 Top 7

Agents of SHIELD wasted none of their 2-hour fin ale! We hit the ground running and it just kept getting more and more intense! We finally know who the Fallen Agent was. We know what happens to Hive. “Absolution” and “Ascension” answered many of the questions and storylines that have been building throughout the whole season, we got our answers. It also left the door open for a peak at next season’s possible plot line. It was an incredibly fast-paced and intensely emotional ending to a spectacular season. Here are…

Agents of SHIELD 3.19 “Failed Experiments” Top 5

“Failed Experiments” brought us a little bit of a history lesson of the Kree Reapers, Hive, and the Inhumans. It brought SHIELD against Hive and his henchmen. We got to see some….visitors. There’s now only 2 episodes left in the season; one that will probably tie in with Captain America: Civil War, and then a 2-hour finale. “Failed Experiments” certainly set up the pieces for quite an epic ending to a season and left us desperate for answers to all the questions with which it left us. Will Hive’s Kree experiment…

Agents of SHIELD 3.18 “The Singularity” Top 5

The stakes continue to be raised on Agents of SHIELD as we are getting closer to the finale. “The Singularity” gives us a glimpse at Hive and his Inhuman collection. It shows us Coulson’s biases on the team. It gives us some heartbreak as Hive uses memories of Will to get to Simmons, and also warms our hearts as FitzSimmons continues being adorable. It gives us some laughs as Fitz and Mack banter back and forth, and some gasps as Daisy and Hive bust in on the SHIELD agents mission.…

Agents of SHIELD 3.16 “Paradise Lost” Top 5

This week’s episode of Agents of SHIELD was a bit lighter on the action and a lot heavier on the information. That doesn’t mean it wasn’t still amazing. It was a great episode in which we learned a lot about Malick’s past, Lincoln’s past, Hive and what he….it?…may have planned. Here are my picks for the top 5 moments of “Paradise Lost.” 5. Malick revealed Throughout the series, Malick has been in a position of power. He has proverbially been at the top of the food chain. In “Paradise Lost,”…

Agents of SHIELD 3×15 “Spacetime” Top 6

Agents of SHIELD continues to make it really difficult for me to choose only 5 moments from the episode to write about. Typically when I watch this show, I’m always aware that I’m watching a superhero/comic book show. I can sense the layer of surrealism that that style of TV brings.  However, when I was watching “Spacetime,” that layer was stripped away. It felt real and intense. The emotions of this episode ran very high, which even overshadowed the big action scenes. It was an amazing episode full of amazing…

Agents of SHIELD 3×14 “Watchdogs” Top 5

I found this to be quite a difficult episode to choose a top 5. There was a lot going on with all of pur Agents of SHIELD. All of the moments seemed pretty important and great. How do you choose just 5 of them? Seeing an episode centered around Mack was great and long overdue. It was even better coming off of him losing Agents Bobbi and Hunter. Even with him as the center of this episode, it seems like all of our characters had their moments this episode. Here…

Super Special Spoiler Free Deadpool Review

Hi kids, how’s it going!  Let’s just kick this off right now with if you’re actually a ‘kid’ probably don’t read any further.  Deadpool wasn’t made for you, and I’m about to use Deadpool-like words.  Are you even paying attention to me?  Hey!  Seriously, that’s really rude.  Didn’t your parents teach you any manners? Do I have you back now?  Good.  So, here’s my review– what you’ve all been waiting for: You don’t give a fuck what I think, go see the goddamn movie. Hugs and kisses! Featured Image via…
