Agents of SHIELD 4.04 “Let Me Stand Next to Your Fire” Top 5

What an episode! “Let Me Stand Next to Your Fire” was an incredible episode all the way through. Daisy and Jemma teaming up was so much fun. Watching Fitz squirm about Aida being tested was delightful. Watchdogs getting taken down is always satisfying. Coulson and Mack teaming up with Ghost Rider was superb. Watching two hot heads battle it out by a store full of fireworks was also a good time. Here are my top 5 moments from “Let Me Stand Next to Your Fire.” 5. FitzSimmons This certainly wasn’t…

Peggy Carter Isn’t Dead

Today was a rough day. I first heard about the cancellation from a friend.  It was a few moments before the news broke online, so all I texted him back was a single ‘No’.  That got followed by another, and then by a ‘No it isn’t’.  He responded with a simple ‘I’m sorry’, and that was the end of it.  It wasn’t that I didn’t trust him, of course, more that I refused to believe that such a thing would happen.  A few moments after the exchange the tweets started…

Agents of SHIELD 3×11 “Bouncing Back” Top 5

Season three finally resumed on last night’s episode. While it wasn’t quite the high intensity episode that I expected from a “premiere” of this show, it was still a great episode. Some questions were answered regarding Ward. Fitz and Simmons had a few moments. Bobbi and Hunter got to work together. Director Coulson was still a bad ass. It was a fun and enjoyable episode. Since this is my first review of this show, I just want to throw it out there that I won’t be typing it as S.H.I.E.L.D.…

Agent Carter 1.04 “Smoke and Mirrors” Top 5

Ever wonder what Peggy was like as a child?  Well, this week’s Agent Carter has your answer to that and so much more.  Here are my Top 5 moments!  Let us know yours in the comments! 5.) The glances into Whitney’s past were just as interesting as the ones into Peggy’s, with a twinge of a extra frustration.  The best kind of villain is one that you can feel for, and the writers have really nailed that in season 2.  “I bet you look real pretty when you smile”…

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. 3.08 “Many Heads, One Tale” Review

“Many Heads, One Tale” gave me the best news so far this week: The bad guys are getting interesting again. After a slight misfire with the handling of Lash (though the fallout of his alter identity is bound to provide some excellent popcorn moments down the road) and after losing his “trusted right hand” to a revitalized Bobbie, Ward has a new ally in Gideon Malick (played with the trademark cool sleaze of Powers Boothe) who has nothing but A-game. In a single episode Malick has revealed himself as the last…

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. 3.07 “Chaos Theory” Review

Tis the season for aptly titled episodes on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. – “Chaos Theory” was exactly that. After a balanced and snappy offering with “Among Us Hide…” last week, which ended with a helluva reveal, the staff of Marvel’s prime time superpower opted to throw a little bit of everything against the wall to see what would stick, and with mixed results. Overall, the episode was a success. The best bits came about when Coulson and his team were all on screen together, best illustrated by the taut conversation surrounding…
