Do you follow geeky trends? Gobble up all manner of geek media? Spend way too much time thinking about certain things that some folks may find trivial, like who would win in a fight between Superman and The Hulk? You’re not alone!
Our group of writers is a diverse, silly, talented and clever bunch, and we’re looking to expand. The Geekly Planet is a passion project, so none of us make any money from this. If you’re a writer who’s already managed to break through and gets paid for your writing, this might not be the place for you, and that’s totally cool! If you’re just starting off and looking for a place for your voice, well, we’d love to hear from you!
I (Amelia) got my start writing for websites just like this one, and I was thankful for every single home I got. Now that I write for several other publications, I want to give a platform to those who may not be sure where to start, or just haven’t found their niche yet.
So, what is it we cover here at The Geekly Planet? Everything, so long as it’s interesting and geeky! ‘Geek’ is a broad term, and that’s by design. I have no interest in writers who aren’t passionate about what they’re writing about. Being a geek means loving something so much that all of the details matter, and that’s what I look for in my staff.
Does that sound interesting? Great! Here’s what you need to do:
